Patrik Eklund nominated for an Oscar

Patrik Eklund, born and raised in Arvidsjaur, is nominated for an Oscar.
It is like magic! The red carpet will be rolled out for Patrik Eklund's short film "Istället för Abrakadabra" (Instead of Abrakadabra), nominated for an Oscar 2010:
-Wow, my head is spinning from these good news, says Parik Eklund.
Patrik is born and raised in Arvidsjaur. He went to the aesthetic high school program with direction film and photo here in Arvidsjaur. Now he lives in Umeå and is well established in the film industry with focus on short films. He is working on a long film though:
-A comedy, he says.
How important is this nomination for your work?
-It looks very good on my CV, ha ha...No, seriously, it might mean a lot when I am trying to interest people in future film projects.
You just came back from the Sundance Film Festival in the USA, and now you will go back there again.
-It's no problem...
Do you own a tuxedo?
-No, i will have to rent one. I would never buy one!
Patrik doesn't really know much about the other nominees competing for the Oscar:
-I know that it is one guy from Australia who I met before, one from the USA and I think one from Italy...
What about your chances?
-I want to believe that I have an equal shot at victory, but I can't really say...I am happy to be nominated.
Who are you taking?
-We don't know how many tickets we're getting. But the producer, Mats Fjellström and I are going.
Promise to bring a small digital camera and let Mats take a picture of you among all the stars on the red carpet. I want to put it on the Arvidsjaur webpage. Alright?
-Alright !
Good luck!
-Thank you!
